Triple Yatzee

Overview

Triple Yatzee is the classic Yatzee played three times at once. Three times the fun!

How scoring works

  • Click on an empty item in the scoring columns to apply your score
  • The game will do all the rest
  • The top section will add a 35 point bonus if your score on the top is 63 or more
  • The top section scores are added to the bottom section scores
  • The scores in the first column are taken as is
  • The scores in the second column are doubled
  • The scores in the third column are tripled
  • The totals from all three columns are your game total

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Q: How do I keep a dice I've rolled?
    • A: Click on that dice to save it.
    • Q: What if I click on the wrong spot on the score card?
    • A: Just click on it again to clear it out, and click on the spot you intended.
    • Q: When does it fill in the bonus on top?
    • A: When your score on top is 63 or higher.
    • Q: Why is the bonus based on 63?
    • A: 63 is the score you would have if you put 3 of a kind in each spot.

The purpose of this project was to demonstrate the following:
    • Organized presentation layer featuring:
    • No images in the design or execution of the game. It's all XHTML and CSS
    • Well formed XHTML
    • CSS2 and CSS3 elements using unique ids with classes
    • CSS buttons with custom jQuery event handlers
    • Javascript/jQuery to accomplish animated game play
    • Dynamic updating of DOM elements with both HTML and CSS
    • jQuery for both presentation and game logic
